Bolat Yessimkhanov (bass)


Graduated from the Taldykorgan K. Baiseitov College of Music where he studied clarinet (1993-1997) and the Kazakh National Kurmangazy Conservatory where he studied composition (class of People’s Artist of the USSR, Professor Ye.Rakhmadiyev, 1997-2003). Then he entered the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he studied solo singing (class of People’s Artist of the RF, Professor B.Kudryavtsev, 2003-2006). He has underwent training courses at the Teatro alla Scala Academy (Italy, 2010).

From 2008 to 2010, he was a leading opera soloist of Abai State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Since 2011, he has been teaching at the vocal art department of the Kazakh National Kurmangazy Conservatory. Since 2013, he has been a soloist of the State Opera and Ballet Theatre “Astana Opera”.


  • Laureate of the Yenilikgul Professional Theatre Prize in the “Best Opera Part of the Year” category (Almaty, 2011);

  • Laureate of the B. Tolegenova International Vocal Competition (2011);

  • Laureate of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Leader of the Nation (2014).
