Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan

Born in Almaty. In 2003, she graduated from the Almaty Seleznev Choreography School. From 2003 to 2013, she was a principal dancer with the Baiseitova National Opera and Ballet Theatre. Since 2013, she has been a principal dancer with the State Opera and Ballet Theatre “Astana Opera”. Madina Basbayeva is a guest soloist of the Opéra National de Bordeaux (France). Her teacher-repetiteur is Honoured Artist of Russia Altynai Asylmuratova.


First prize of the International Creative Youth Festival “Shabyt” (Astana, 2006, 2009);

Third prize of the International Ballet Competition “Baiterek” (Astana, 2006);

Second prize of the International Ballet Competition “Prize of Rome” (Italy, 2007);

Grand Prix of the International Ballet Competition “Baiterek” (Astana, 2009);

Winner of the Government Scholarship in the field of Culture (2012, 2016);

Prizewinner of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of culture (2017);

Laureate of the Sakhnager 2018 National Theatre Award in the “Best Ballet Dancer” category;

Holder of the Order of Kurmet (2018).
