Famous Kazakhstani Artists Will Perform Romantic Music Masterpieces
Principal Soloists of the Astana Opera, Honored Workers of Kazakhstan Aigul Niyazova, Dina Khamzina, Nurlan Bekmukhambetov and Award winner of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation Bolat Yessimkhanov will perform in the concert “The Romance of Opera and Art Song”. Musical evening from the series “About Music and Its Creators” will take place at the opera house’s Chamber Hall on June 2.
Remarkable instrumentalists – artist of the Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra Zynkhar Akhmetbek (violin) and international competitions laureate Raushan Beskembirova (piano) will appear onstage along with the singers.
Marvelous, spiritually elevated music of the romantic period will be featured for the audience. Its popularity among listeners and musicians alike is due to attention to feelings, ‘life of the heart’, and the prevalence of personal tone, particular sincerity, expressiveness, ideological and emotional depth. Love lyricism, which most fully reflects the inner world of the hero of the work, becomes predominant.
“The idea of arts synthesis is a significant moment in the aesthetics of musical romanticism. In the XIX century composers’ works, deep links with literature are emerging. Thus, many of the works presented this evening, are based on the poems of A.S. Pushkin. Incidentally, on June 6, the poetic world celebrates the birthday of the great classic. Due to the subtle correlations between the vocal melody and the expressiveness of the poetic word, the compositions become more detailed and individualized, such genres as chamber-vocal lyrics and opera are actively developing. The instrumental part ceases to be a neutral ‘accompaniment’, acquiring richness of imagery,” noted Raushan Beskembirova.
Numerous fans of the art song genre will enjoy famous chamber-vocal works such as ‘Ya pomnyu chudnoye mgnovenie’ (I Remember a Wonderful Moment), ‘V krovi gorit ogon zhelaniya’ (The Flame of Desire Is Burning in My Blood), ‘Adel’ by M. Glinka, ‘Redeyet oblakov letuchaya gryada’ (Thins the Clouds Flying Ridge) by N. Rimsky-Korsakov, ‘Yesli zhizn tebya obmanet’ (If Life Deceives You) by R. Gliere, ‘Ya vas lyubil’ (I loved you) by B. Sheremetev, ‘Stary muzh, grozny muzh’ (Old Husband, Cruel Husband) by A. Verstovsky, ‘Podezzhai︠a︡ pod Izhory’ (Approaching the Izhory) by G. Sviridov, ‘Fontanu Bakhchisaraiskogo Dvortsa’ (To the Fountain of the Bakhchisarai Palace) by V. Vlasov, etc.
The rich concert program includes arias and scenes from the operas of romantic composers. Scenes from the opera Eugene Onegin, Lisa and Polina’s duet, Lisa’s aria from the opera Pikovaya Dama (The Queen of Spades) by P. Tchaikovsky, Boyan’s two arias from the opera Ruslan i Lyudmila by M. Glinka, Young Gypsy’s romance and Old Man’s story from the opera Aleko by S. Rachmaninoff and others will be presented at the Chamber Hall.
